STEAM Discovery Days is a Science+Art event hosted by the Division of Extension 4-H Youth Development program. Over 75 young people were registered to engage in engineering, coding, and art-centered math activities at Mondovi’s Sharp’s Point on July 18 and July 19. Students swung the paint pendulum, designed their own battle bots, followed art algorithms, read blueprints, created chain reactions, used microscopes, tested their own duck boats, exploded art, made metal art, and participated in so much more! Morgan Guenther, Buffalo County 4-H Youth Development Intern, and Annie Lisowski, Buffalo County 4-H Youth Development Educator coordinated the day camp that aims to have young people practice critical thinking skills while trying on different projects that spark their interest in science related careers.
